Helb for KMTC students is open for those students seeking financial support to apply. The funds are under the Ministry of Education. On Thursday, 27/3/2025, KMTC CEO Kelly Oluoch announced the allocation of 500 million to support the needy KMTC students. Eligibility for the KMTC HELB Loan

KMTC students applying for HELB loans should meet the following requirements:

• Be a KMTC student enrolled in a diploma or certificate course.
• Have a National ID (Valid)
• Have an active email and phone number
• Have an active bank account that is associated with HELB.
• Details of guarantors (parents, guardians)

Step by Step on How to Apply for a KMTC HELB Loan Online

1. On the HELB portal

• Open the HELB official website on your browser.
• Click on the Student Portal; if you don’t have an account, you can register.

2. Create your HELB account

• Enter your details official name, number of your national ID, phone number, and email.
• Set up your unique password and log in.

3. Access the Loan Application Form

• Click on “Apply for Loan and select the option for the KMTC loan option.
• Go through all the instructions.

4. Fill in Your Details

• Enter your name, ID, and phone number.
• Enter your KMTC admission number and course name.

5. Enter Parent/Guardian and Guarantor Details

• Enter Parent/Guardian and Guarantor Information
• Provide guarantors.

6. Upload Required Documents

• Scanned copies of your national ID, KMTC admission letter, and passport-sized photo.
• Guarantors’ ID copies and any additional documents specified by HELB

7. Submit the Application

• Confirm if the information you have provided is correct.
• Click Submit and generate the loan application form.

8. Print and Sign the Application Form

• Download and print two copies of the completed loan form.
• Sign where necessary and have it signed too by guarantors.

9. Submit the Copies to HELB

• Drop the signed HELB copies at the nearest Huduma Centre.

• If your loan is approved, it will be deposited into the bank account you provide.
