Popular Biker Luhya Kidd Jnr Dies with Wife in Northern Bypass Crash After Cryptic Message

Popular Nairobi biker Gustavo, also known on X as Luhya Kidd Jnr, has died after a tragic road accident along the Northern Bypass. The accident happened on Sunday, March 15, and sadly, his wife also lost her life in the same incident.

According to early reports, Gustavo was riding his red Ducati Streetfighter 848 when the crash occurred. Photos shared online showed the damaged bike lying on the road shortly after the accident.

A close associate, Edwin Nganyi, explained that the biker collided with a vehicle that was making a U-turn on the highway. The impact caused both Gustavo and his passenger to be thrown onto the tarmac.

Witnesses at the scene said the vehicle had just joined the road from UN Avenue when the motorcycle hit its side. The crash was serious, leaving both victims with severe injuries.

Gustavo’s wife suffered broken legs and died at the scene, while Gustavo sustained serious head injuries. He was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately passed away on the way.

Police officers later arrived, examined the scene, and moved the bodies to Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary. The bodies are awaiting postmortem as investigations into the accident continue.

Friends revealed that the couple had a young child, about five months old, making the loss even more painful for the family.

Reports also indicate that the couple had attended the Safari Rally event in Naivasha and were heading back home when the tragic accident happened.

As news of his death spread, many people online started discussing an old post Gustavo had shared weeks before his death. On February 22, 2025, he posted a photo of his red motorbike and wrote:
“I have seen it all, I can die peacefully in my sleep.”

What shocked many is that the same bike in that post is believed to be the one involved in the accident. This has led to emotional reactions online, with some people wondering if he had sensed something before his death.
