Early Life and Education

Rev. Calisto Odede is well-known for his good Christian leadership in the church. Born in February 1980 in Migori, Kenya, he became passionate about ministry from his childhood. His spiritual path was much shaped by his early Christian experience.

Rev. Odede pursued higher education in various institutions:

Degree at Kenyatta University.
He continued his education at Trinity International University in the USA, concentrating in Biblical Studies.
Master’s degree in Missiological Studies from Bethany International University in Singapore.

Ministry and Leadership

For many years, Rev. Calisto Odede has been actively engaged in ministry, filling various roles inside the church. His journey of leadership.
He spent 13 years working with the Fellowship of Christian Unions, FOCUS, a body serving students in colleges and institutions.
For eight years, he was Associate Regional Secretary for the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES), encompassing Eastern Africa and the Horn of Africa in the Anglophone and Lusophone areas.
He joined CITAM in 1988 and was ordained a pastor in 2008. He has been Deputy Senior Pastor at CITAM Valley Road, Senior Pastor at CITAM Woodley, Senior Pastor at CITAM Karen, and Senior Pastor at CITAM Valley Road. 2020 saw his appointment as CITAM’s Presiding Bishop.
He also spent six years as senior pastor of Nairobi Baptist Church.
