President Ruto: Anyone Guilty of Corruption at Nairobi Hospital Will Be Fired and Taken to Court

President William Ruto has defended the recent arrest of some Nairobi Hospital officials, saying that senior doctors and professionals from the hospital asked for his intervention to protect the institution.
Speaking about Nairobi Hospital, Ruto described it as one of Kenya’s leading medical facilities and stressed that he would not allow it to be mismanaged by dishonest individuals.
“As the President of Kenya and patron of Nairobi Hospital, I was approached by senior doctors and staff who wanted me to save the hospital from fraudsters, conmen, and charlatans trying to take it over,” he said.
Ruto confirmed that following their appeal, he directed that anyone involved in fraudulent activities at the hospital be removed and face legal action.
“All those found guilty of corruption or fraud at Nairobi Hospital will be removed, taken to court, and charged,” he stated.
Addressing the opposition, who criticized the arrests, Ruto dismissed their concerns, saying they were only looking for attention. “I want to tell the opposition to stop wasting time on this. They are only looking for headlines,” he added.
The President emphasized that Nairobi Hospital is a public institution meant to serve all Kenyans and denied claims that it was being sold. He vowed to protect it from being misused or taken hostage by dishonest individuals.
“Nairobi Hospital will continue to serve the people of Kenya. I will ensure it is defended against conmen, fraudsters, and anyone who wants to misuse it,” Ruto said.
He concluded by pledging that the government would safeguard the hospital’s reputation and operations, ensuring it remains the premier medical institution in Kenya.
