Leaked WhatsApp Chats: MP Baba Levo Borrows KSh 149k from Diamond Platnumz

Tanzanian MP Baba Levo, whose real name is Clayton Revocatus, made headlines after sharing private WhatsApp messages showing he borrowed KSh 149,000 (about 3 million Tanzanian shillings) from music star Diamond Platnumz.

The messages revealed how close the two are, with Diamond quickly arranging for Levo to collect the money from a mutual friend named Fumbwe. This exchange came just days after Levo was seen giving out cash to people during Ramadan, highlighting his generosity.

Levo has been a long-time friend and supporter of Diamond Platnumz, from their early days in the music industry to Levo’s current career in politics. Many fans were surprised to see the level of trust and openness between the politician and the Bongo star.

In the leaked chat on Monday, March 16, around 9:30 PM, Levo wrote to Diamond asking for financial help:

“My guy, I am borrowing even just 3 million, I am in a bad spot. Please.”

Diamond responded quickly, telling him to collect the cash from their friend Fumbwe. Levo thanked him immediately, writing:

“Asante sana.”

Levo compared the support to a child relying on a parent, saying he could always count on Diamond. He wrote on social media:

“Mtoto kwa baba hakui, asante sana mzee Lukuga Diamond.”

The leaked conversation sparked reactions online. Some praised Diamond’s generosity, while others turned it into playful jokes. Tanzanian socialite Niffer even joked, asking Levo to lend him money as well.
