Former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju has been reported missing, raising concern among family members and close associates.
According to a family spokesperson, Tuju was last seen on Saturday, March 22, before he disappeared under unclear circumstances.
His son, Mano Tuju, revealed that the former CS had left home heading to an interview. However, it is still unknown whether he arrived at the scheduled meeting.
An alarm was raised after multiple attempts by family members to reach him through his phone went unanswered. The situation prompted the family to seek help from authorities after failing to establish contact.
Tuju’s lawyer also confirmed that efforts to trace him through his mobile phone were unsuccessful, leading to the involvement of the police in launching a search operation.
On Sunday morning, Mano Tuju received a call from officers at Karen Police Station, who informed him that his father’s car had been found abandoned along Miotoni Lane.
The discovery of the vehicle has deepened concerns over the former CS’s whereabouts, with investigations now ongoing.
Authorities have yet to provide further details as the search continues.
