Students who want to join a university can now apply for their preferred degree courses after the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service officially opened its application portal.

The announcement was made on Tuesday, April 7, by Julius Ogamba after holding a meeting with KUCCPS officials led by CEO Agnes Wahome.

The Education CS asked students who sat for the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education to apply for courses of their choice through the official KUCCPS website.

He said that only students who scored a minimum grade of C+ and above are eligible to apply for degree courses.

Ogamba also confirmed that the application process has already started and will remain open for four weeks, ending on May 6, 2026.

“The KUCCPS placement process has officially started today and the portal will stay open until May 6, 2026,” he said.
