KUCCPS Announces New KMTC Intake for 31 Medical Courses

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened applications for 31 KMTC certificate and diploma courses for immediate intake.

The new application window is targeting students who sat the 2025 KCSE exams and scored grades C and D. The placement body said the portal will remain open until May 6, 2026.

According to KUCCPS, this is a fresh opportunity for learners who missed the first application window but still wish to join the medical field.

In a statement released on Tuesday, KUCCPS encouraged interested students to take advantage of the chance and apply for the available KMTC programmes.

The courses available include both certificate and diploma programmes in different medical and health-related fields.

Some of the certificate courses available include:

• Community Health Assistant
• Emergency Medical Technician
• Health Insurance Management
• Health Records and Information Management
• Medical Engineering
• Nutrition and Dietetics
• Public Health

For diploma courses, students can apply for programmes such as:

• Clinical Medicine and Surgery
• Community Health
• Dental Technology
• Medical Laboratory Science
• Pharmacy
• Physiotherapy
• Public Health
• Radiography and Imaging
• Optometry
• Speech and Language Therapy

KUCCPS said the courses are designed to equip students with practical skills needed in the job market.

Students who wish to apply have been asked to visit the KUCCPS student portal and log in using their KCSE index number, KCSE year, and password.

The password should be either the student’s KCPE index number or birth certificate number.

Applicants have been advised to submit their applications early before the May 6 deadline, as the available slots are highly competitive.

This latest announcement comes shortly after KUCCPS opened its university and TVET application portal for the 2026 intake.
