KUCCPS Announces Second Revision Dates for 2025 University Applications

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced new dates for students who want to revise their university and college course applications for the 2025/2026 intake.
KUCCPS said the second revision window will open from May 16 to May 22, giving applicants another chance to change or update their course choices.
The placement body had earlier opened the application portal on April 7 and the first application phase closed on May 6 at midnight.
KUCCPS Chief Executive Officer Agnes Wahome said the second revision is meant to help students who may not secure placement in their first selected courses or institutions.
She encouraged applicants to use the opportunity wisely and apply for courses that match their grades and interests.
According to Wahome, KUCCPS wants to ensure that all qualified students get placement in universities and colleges across the country.
“We will have a second revision window from May 16 to May 22 to give another chance to applicants who may want to adjust their choices,” she said.
The CEO also advised students to avoid focusing only on popular universities, saying many other institutions offer similar courses with lower cut-off points.
KUCCPS is expected to begin processing applications immediately after the closure of the first application phase.
Latest figures from the placement agency show that out of 268,714 students who scored C+ and above in KCSE, around 207,308 had already submitted applications successfully. This represents about 77 percent of eligible applicants.
However, KUCCPS said it is still targeting 100 percent application turnout before the process ends.
Some students also reported technical challenges while submitting applications, especially payment problems during the final day of application.
In response, KUCCPS explained that many applicants were entering the wrong M-Pesa reference code on the eCitizen platform.
The agency advised students to use the correct eCitizen transaction code sent through SMS after payment to avoid application errors.
KUCCPS also asked students facing challenges to seek help through the official communication channels before the second revision deadline closes.
