USIU-Africa Announces 2026 Scholarships for Students Who Sat KCSE 2025

United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa) has opened applications for its 2026 scholarship programme targeting students who sat for the KCSE examinations in 2025.

The Nairobi-based private university is offering several scholarship opportunities to academically gifted students who may be facing financial challenges and wish to pursue undergraduate studies.

Among the available opportunities is the Full USIU-Africa Scholarship, which covers tuition fees, books, computer laboratory charges, accommodation and meals.

The university is accepting applications from first-time undergraduate applicants who completed KCSE or A-Levels in 2025. However, the Criminal Justice Scholarship is also open to Kenyan civil servants regardless of when they completed their studies.

Scholarship Categories Available

USIU-Africa has announced five scholarship categories for the 2026 academic year.

The Full USIU-Africa Scholarship offers the highest support package and is available to two students, one male and one female. Beneficiaries will have their tuition fees, books, accommodation, meals and computer laboratory fees fully covered.

Applicants for this category must have scored a minimum grade of B+ in KCSE and attained at least a B in English and Mathematics. They are also required to demonstrate financial need, leadership skills and involvement in community service.

The university is also offering Partial USIU-Africa Scholarships, which will cover 100 percent of tuition fees. Candidates must have attained at least a B grade in KCSE and a minimum of B- in English and Mathematics.

Another category is the Diversity Scholarship, which targets students from marginalized communities, informal settlements, ASAL regions and persons living with disabilities. Successful applicants will also receive full tuition support.

USIU-Africa is also offering the Exness Fintech Scholarship for students interested in pursuing a Master of Science in Information Security. Applicants must have a first degree in an IT-related field with a GPA of at least 3.0.

Meanwhile, the Criminal Justice Scholarship will cover 50 percent of tuition fees and is specifically meant for Kenyan civil servants pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice Studies.

Requirements for Applicants

Interested candidates must be Kenyan citizens and should demonstrate academic excellence, financial need, leadership potential and commitment to community service.

Applicants are required to submit a typed application letter explaining why they deserve the scholarship, together with copies of their academic certificates or result slips and other supporting documents.

Students applying for undergraduate scholarships can choose any approved degree programme offered by the university, except Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.

Successful applicants must be ready to begin their studies during the Fall 2026 semester.

Application Deadline

Applicants are required to complete the USIU-Africa Scholarship Application Form and submit it, along with the required documents, via email.

The deadline for submitting applications is July 15, 2026.

Candidates who meet the requirements will be shortlisted and invited for interviews in July. Successful applicants are expected to receive scholarship award notifications in August 2026.
