Raila Odinga Junior attracted attention after making a candid remark while addressing a rowdy crowd during an ODM rally at Jacaranda Grounds in Nairobi.
As he tried to calm down the heckling youths, Raila Junior was heard saying, “Boss tuliaaaa, huoni hii kazi ni ngumu sana kwangu?” loosely translated as, “Boss, calm down, don’t you see this job is very difficult for me?”
His remarks quickly attracted attention, with the clip circulating on social media.
The incident happened during the ODM mega rally held at Jacaranda Grounds as part of the Mwezi wa Baba programme, which marked the first anniversary of the death of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Raila Junior had stepped forward to address the crowd when some youths continued heckling, making it difficult for him to speak.
The rally later experienced more disruptions after groups of people moved towards the main stage. Several leaders, including Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, Kisii Governor Simba Arati and Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi, were forced to leave the stage.
The video of Raila Junior’s response has since attracted reactions online, with Kenyans discussing the challenges he faces as he steps into public political activities associated with his late father.
