Working alongside Rigathi Gachagua and other party leaders, he helped mobilise supporters across the constituency.

After the election, Sammy Kamau was declared the winner, giving DCP a major political victory in Nyandarua County.

John Methu attracted national attention after delivering a bold speech during the funeral of former Ol Kalou MP David Kiaraho.

While President William Ruto was present, Methu challenged the government over development promises in Nyandarua, including road projects that residents were still waiting for.

Videos of the speech quickly spread online, making him one of the most discussed politicians in Kenya at the time.
