KNEC Announces Collection of 2024 TVET Certificates for Students in Kenya

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has officially announced that certificates for candidates who sat the 2024 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) examinations are now ready for collection.

In a statement released on Thursday, February 5, KNEC confirmed that certificates for the March, July, and November 2024 TVET examination sessions have been fully processed and made available.

According to the council, the certificates cover candidates who undertook business and technical courses under the TVET system.

KNEC explained that Heads of Institutions will issue the certificates from the New Mitihani House in Nairobi. These institutions are the ones that registered candidates for the examinations.

At the same time, individual candidates have been advised to collect their certificates directly from their respective colleges instead of visiting KNEC offices.

In its notice, KNEC urged institutions to forward any issues or concerns regarding the certificates through official communication. Such queries should be submitted in writing via the Heads of Institutions.

Additionally, candidates and institutions can raise concerns online through the Query Management Information System (QMIS) portal available on the KNEC website.

The council further directed that all queries must be submitted within 60 days from the date the certificates were released. KNEC warned that any inquiries received after June 30, 2026, will incur a processing fee of Ksh 5,000.

The release of the certificates marks an important step for thousands of TVET graduates, many of whom are preparing to join the job market or pursue further studies.
