Controversial preacher Pastor Victor Kanyari has once again drawn public attention after extending support to Choice Kinoti, the Kenyan woman who recently went viral online.
The Salvation Healing Ministry founder surprised many during a church service when he invited Choice to the altar and openly expressed his willingness to help her rebuild her life.
Kanyari gifts Choice Kinoti KSh 30,000
In a moment that quickly sparked debate online, Kanyari presented Choice with KSh 30,000, saying the money was meant to help her begin a new chapter.
While addressing the congregation, the preacher warmly told her he now considered her a friend.
“You are now my friend. We will have lunch in my office and talk more. For now, I am giving you KSh 30,000,” Kanyari said.

He further promised to support her in starting a business of her choice, encouraging her to focus on moving forward positively. According to the pastor, the financial gift was intended to empower her and open new doors in life.
Choice, who appeared visibly surprised by the gesture, thanked the preacher for his kindness and support.
How Choice Kinoti went viral
Choice recently became an internet sensation after videos of her with Russian national Yaytseslav Truhov circulated widely on social media.
In the trending clips, she was seen asking to travel with him to Russia and at one point doing laundry for him — moments that triggered mixed reactions among Kenyans online.
Her situation attracted even more attention after she openly shared her HIV status publicly, further fueling online discussions.
Months after helping Marion Naipei
Kanyari’s latest gesture comes months after he extended similar support to another viral figure, Marion Naipei.
Earlier this year, the preacher publicly welcomed Marion to his church following the leak of her intimate video that had subjected her to widespread online criticism.
During the service, Kanyari reassured her of his support and encouraged her not to lose hope despite the backlash she was facing.

“I’ve committed to supporting you on this journey that’s only beginning. Don’t hesitate to reach out — my doors remain open,” he told her.
Marion receives a KSh 50,000 boost
In the same event, Kanyari gifted Marion KSh 50,000, noting that although the amount might not solve all her problems, it would help stabilize her situation.
The outspoken preacher defended her, explaining that she is a single mother who had been seeking financial support. He urged the public to show compassion instead of criticism.
Marion, visibly emotional, thanked the pastor and praised his ministry, asking God to bless him for standing with her during a difficult moment.
Mixed reactions online
As with previous incidents involving the preacher, Kanyari’s latest move has generated mixed reactions across social media.
While some netizens praised him for supporting vulnerable individuals and giving them hope, others questioned the public nature of the assistance.
Despite the divided opinions, the pastor maintains that his mission is to uplift those going through tough times.
“When you support the vulnerable, God will support you,” Kanyari previously said.
