Controversial Kenyan preacher Prophet David Owuor has claimed that he received a divine message about the 2027 General Election, warning that the period could be marked by serious challenges for the country.
In an interview with TV47 journalist Samira Mohammed, shared on the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness YouTube channel on Sunday, February 8, Owuor said he had received a revelation about Kenya’s political future. According to him, the upcoming election could become one of the most difficult moments in the nation’s history.
The preacher claimed that he foresaw intense political competition and unrest during the election period. He described the situation as unprecedented, suggesting that the events surrounding the polls could spiral beyond control if no intervention occurs.

Owuor said he had already tried to relay the message to national leaders, stressing the urgency of preparing for what he believes lies ahead. He added that the visions he received were so alarming that they should prompt serious reflection among Kenyans.
The prophet also mentioned the re-emergence of young people, particularly Generation Z, extraordinarily and unexpectedly. However, he avoided giving detailed explanations about what he saw, saying the situation was difficult to fully describe.
Despite the grim prophecy, Owuor maintained that Kenya could still be spared if citizens turn to God in repentance. He called for a national change of heart, arguing that divine mercy could alter the predicted events.
He urged the government to consider organising a national repentance day in 2026, expressing hope that such a move could help the country avoid the difficulties he foresees in 2027.
Owuor’s latest prophecy comes months after another controversial claim linked to him in 2025, in which it was alleged that he had predicted the end of the world on August 2, 2025. The preacher later dismissed those claims, describing them as false and misleading.
In recent months, the prophet has also attracted public attention following a rally in Nakuru, where he claimed to have healed people suffering from serious illnesses, including HIV and AIDS.
