Former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju has opened up about his personal life while facing a serious property dispute that has recently made headlines in Kenya.
Tuju, who is also a businessman, revealed in a recent interview that he is married to a Kalenjin woman. He said he found love again after his first marriage ended in divorce, and together with his current wife, they have built a family with three children.
Tuju Faces Property Dispute and Eviction Claims
The former CS is currently involved in a long-running legal battle over his property located at Dari Business Park in Karen. On March 14, police officers reportedly stormed the premises and removed him from the residence.
Tuju has strongly protested the move, claiming that there is a larger plan to intimidate him and take over his property. He also alleged that his life has been under threat and accused powerful individuals of being behind the situation.
According to him, the presence of police officers caused fear among his family members, both immediate and extended.

Loan Dispute with East African Development Bank
The property at the center of the dispute is linked to a loan taken in 2015 from the East African Development Bank to develop the business park.
Tuju claimed that he is willing to repay the loan, but the bank has allegedly refused to accept the payment. He believes that some individuals are interested in acquiring the land unfairly.
He further stated that someone claimed to have bought the property through an auction, but according to him, no such auction ever took place.
Tuju Rejects Tribal Politics Claims
While speaking during an interview with NTV Kenya, Tuju addressed concerns that the dispute could be linked to tribal issues.
He dismissed those claims, saying the matter has nothing to do with ethnicity. He mentioned that one of the people involved in the eviction is named Kiprop but insisted that wrongdoing should not be linked to any community.
Tuju emphasized that he has strong family ties to the Kalenjin community through his wife and in-laws, who come from Kapsabet.
Tuju Talks About His Family
The former CS shared that after his divorce, he found happiness again in his current marriage. He expressed love for his family and confirmed that they have three children together.
He also noted that he has close relatives in Kapsabet, further showing his connection to the region.
Concerns Over Court Process
In a related development, Tuju raised concerns about the legal process surrounding his case. He claimed that he was prepared to attend a court hearing, only to be informed that the date had been changed unexpectedly.
According to him, both he and his lawyers had received official communication earlier, making the sudden change confusing.
