TSC, CUE and WRA Announce New Government Job Opportunities for Kenyans

Several government agencies in Kenya have announced new job opportunities for qualified Kenyans as the public sector continues to strengthen service delivery in different departments.

Among the agencies hiring are the Teachers Service Commission, Commission for University Education and Water Resources Authority.

Interested applicants have been advised to carefully read the job requirements and submit their applications before the stated deadlines.

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has advertised several senior positions. Some of the vacancies include Deputy Director positions in Corporate Affairs, Labour and Industrial Relations, and Risk Management. The commission is also looking for Assistant Directors in Legal Services and Risk Management.

TSC noted that some of the positions had been advertised before, meaning candidates who had applied earlier are free to submit fresh applications again.

Applications should be made online through the TSC portal before May 25 at 11:59 pm. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next stage of recruitment.

The commission also warned applicants against using fake academic papers or documents, saying it is a criminal offence. TSC further stated that it does not charge any fee during the recruitment process.

Meanwhile, the Commission for University Education (CUE) has also opened vacancies in different departments. The available positions include Corporation Secretary, Director of Legal Services, accreditation officers, quality assurance officers, librarians, human resource officers and other administrative jobs.

Candidates applying for CUE jobs are required to submit their applications online before June 2 at 5pm. Those shortlisted will be asked to present original academic and professional certificates during verification interviews.

Successful applicants will also be required to provide clearance certificates from government agencies such as the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), and a recognised Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).

The Water Resources Authority (WRA), which falls under the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation, has also announced vacancies in various departments. The authority is looking for professionals including water resources officers, hydrologists, engineers, ICT officers, legal officers and administrative staff.

According to WRA, successful applicants will first serve under a six-month probation period before confirmation to permanent and pensionable terms depending on performance.

Applications for WRA jobs must be submitted online through the authority’s website before June 1. The agency warned that incomplete applications or attempts to influence the recruitment process will lead to automatic disqualification.

The Kenya Bureau of Standards is also re-advertising the position of Director of Legal Services and Corporation Secretary, with applications closing on June 3.

In addition, the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy is seeking an audit committee member, and interested candidates have until May 26 to apply.
