The Ministry of Interior and National Administration has announced 80 new job vacancies in different departments under Internal Security and Correctional Services.

In a statement released on May 21, the ministry said the recruitment aims to strengthen services in peacebuilding, probation management, and government reception services.

According to the ministry, the Public Service Commission (PSC) is handling the recruitment process for several leadership and professional positions in Civil Service Grades 4, 5, 6, and 7.

The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration has advertised several positions in the Peacebuilding and Conflict Management Directorate. The available jobs include one Secretary position, two Director positions, six Deputy Director positions, seven Assistant Director positions, and seven Senior Principal Lecturer positions.

The department has also announced six Deputy Director vacancies and seven Assistant Director vacancies under Government Reception Services.

At the same time, the State Department for Correctional Services is recruiting staff in the Probation Department. The available positions include 15 Secretary vacancies, 21 Deputy Director vacancies, and eight Assistant Director vacancies.

The ministry has encouraged interested candidates to visit the careers section on its official website to check full job requirements and application details.

Applicants are required to submit their applications through the official PSC recruitment portal before May 26. The job advertisement also states that the vacancies are only open to serving officers.

The Ministry of Interior explained that the recruitment exercise is part of ongoing reforms aimed at improving staffing levels in the security and public administration sectors.

The ministry added that it is planning more recruitment in the future as the government seeks additional funding to improve police recruitment and officers’ welfare.

Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo recently revealed that the ministry is seeking about Ksh2 billion to support the planned reforms and improve working conditions for security officers.
