KUCCPS Reopens University and TVET Application Portal, Announces New Deadline
2 min read
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Placement Service (KUCCPS) has reopened the application portal for university and TVET students after the second revision window ended on May 22.
A check on the KUCCPS portal shows that the application system is still active, giving students another chance to apply or revise their courses.
Earlier, KUCCPS had announced that the second revision exercise would run from May 16 to May 22. The exercise was meant for students who were not placed during the first application and those who wanted to change their selected courses.
Students who had not applied earlier were also allowed to submit their applications before the September intake.
However, the placement body has now extended the application period beyond the earlier deadline.
According to details displayed on the portal, university applicants now have until Monday, June 1, to complete their applications and course revisions.
Students applying for TVET institutions have been given more time, with the portal expected to close on Monday, June 8.
The extension comes as good news for many students who missed the previous deadline or faced technical problems while applying.
Candidates who have not yet applied or those wishing to revise their courses are advised to log in to the KUCCPS student portal and complete the process before the new deadlines.
KUCCPS is expected to release placement results from July, where students will know the institutions and courses they have been assigned.
Students who may not be satisfied with the courses or institutions offered to them will later be allowed to apply for inter-institution or course transfers following guidelines from KUCCPS.
