The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) has announced 365 short-term job opportunities for Kenyans interested in working as monitors during the election period.
The vacancies are spread across three positions: County Monitor, Constituency Monitor and Call Centre Monitor.
ORPP is responsible for registering and regulating political parties in Kenya and monitoring their compliance with the law. The office also has county offices across the country.
ORPP Jobs Available
The 365 vacancies are distributed as follows:
County Monitor – 55 positions
Constituency Monitor – 290 positions
Call Centre Monitor – 20 positions
All the positions are offered on a short-term contract basis.
1. County Monitor – 55 Positions
Successful applicants will monitor political party activities at the county level before, during and after elections.
Their duties will include checking whether political parties follow the Constitution, the Political Parties Act and the Code of Conduct for Political Parties.
One important requirement is that applicants for this position must live in the county where they want to work.
2. Constituency Monitor – 290 Positions
This is the largest category, with 290 vacancies available.
Constituency Monitors will work within their assigned constituencies and help ORPP monitor political party activities throughout the election cycle.
They will also monitor compliance with the Constitution, Political Parties Act and the Code of Conduct for Political Parties.
Applicants must be residents of the constituency where they are applying to work.
3. Call Centre Monitor – 20 Positions
ORPP is also looking for 20 Call Centre Monitors.
The successful candidates will support the office’s monitoring activities during the pre-election, election and post-election periods.

Candidates with foreign academic qualifications may also be required to provide recognition and authentication documents from the Commission for University Education.
