Angry Scenes in Nakuru as Parents Return Dead Grade 8 Pupil to School

Tension gripped Moi Comprehensive School on Monday, February 23, after angry parents wheeled the body of a Grade Eight pupil into the school compound while demanding answers over his mysterious death.

The dramatic incident involved Moses Nyang’au, a learner who reportedly collapsed while in class under unclear circumstances. The situation quickly escalated into emotional protests that drew police intervention.

Parents Demand Answers

According to reports, the school rushed the pupil to Nakuru County Referral and Teaching Hospital for treatment. However, the facility is said to have declined admission, indicating that the boy had already passed away.

Outraged by the development, family members and other parents allegedly collected the body from the morgue and transported it back to the school using a cadaver trolley. Their move was aimed at forcing the institution to explain what exactly happened to the learner.

Witnesses said emotions ran high as the group entered the school compound.

School Locked as Tensions Rise

Videos circulating online show school staff locking the reception area as the crowd arrived. Some parents were seen wailing while others demanded immediate accountability from the administration.

The protesters claimed the family was not informed promptly about the boy’s condition, a concern that further fueled anger among those present.

Police officers were later deployed to the scene and worked to calm the charged crowd. After negotiations, authorities returned the body to the hospital mortuary.
