The KCB Foundation has announced new scholarship opportunities for young Kenyans under its 2Jiajiri programme. The programme is aimed at helping youths gain practical skills through vocational and technical training that can improve their chances of getting jobs or starting small businesses.
Courses Offered
Successful applicants will receive Grade 3-level scholarships in different vocational and technical courses.
The available training areas include fashion and design, food production, masonry, plumbing, motor vehicle mechanics, hairdressing and beauty, electrical installation, as well as welding and fabrication.
These courses are designed to equip learners with hands-on skills that are useful in the job market.
Who Can Apply
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must be between 18 and 34 years old and must have a valid National Identity Card. They should be able to read and write in either English or Kiswahili and must be willing to complete the full training programme.
Applicants are also expected to commit to all training sessions, including industrial attachments.
The programme is open to individuals who are business owners, apprentices, or skilled workers looking to upgrade their abilities. In addition, applicants must be residents of Nandi County.
Interested candidates are required to complete the application form carefully and ensure all details are correctly filled in. Only fully completed applications will be considered for selection.
After filling in the form, applicants should save their responses, download the completed application, and carry it to the interview venue.
All applicants must also bring their original National Identity Card and academic certificates when attending the interview.
Failure to present these documents will lead to automatic disqualification from the process.
Interview Dates
KCB Foundation has confirmed that interviews for shortlisted candidates will be conducted between June 9 and June 12, 2026, at selected vocational training institutions. The selection process will be competitive and based on merit.
Equal Opportunity Statement
The foundation has assured all applicants that the selection process will be fair and transparent. It also emphasized that no discrimination will be allowed based on gender, disability, religion, ethnicity, or geographical background.
Personal data collected during the application process will be handled in line with Kenya’s data protection laws and regulations.
The programme is being implemented in partnership with the Nandi County Government to support youth skills development in the region.
