Meet Johanna Ngeno’s Wife: Sister to Narok South MP Kitilai Ole Ntutu
2 min read
The late Emurua Dikirr MP, Johanna Ngeno, was not only known for his strong political voice but also for his close-knit family life. Standing firmly by his side throughout his career was his wife, Nayianoi Ntutu Ngeno — a lawyer from one of Narok’s most influential political families.
A Private Life Away From Politics
Nayianoi Ntutu, just like her late husband, is trained in law. However, unlike Ngeno, she has largely kept away from active politics, choosing instead to maintain a low public profile. Despite this, she was often seen accompanying her husband during key moments in his political journey.
Friends describe her as a calm, supportive, and devoted partner who stood by Ngeno both in public and private life.
Their Marriage and Family
Johanna Ngeno and Nayianoi exchanged vows on August 18, 2018, in a colorful wedding ceremony held at Emurua Dikirr Secondary School in Narok County. The high-profile event attracted top political leaders, including President William Ruto, who was then Deputy President, and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
The couple was blessed with two daughters. Just days before Ngeno’s untimely death, the family had marked their eighth wedding anniversary — a celebration that would sadly become their final shared milestone together.

She hails from the Influential Ntutu Family
Beyond her marriage to the late MP, Nayianoi comes from the well-known Ntutu political dynasty in Narok County.
She is the daughter of Livingstone Ole Ntutu and a relative of several prominent leaders. Among them is Narok Governor Patrick Ntutu and former Narok Senator Stephen Ntutu.

Her brother, Kitilai Ole Ntutu, currently serves as the Member of Parliament for Narok South.
Following Johanna Ngeno’s passing, Kitilai was among the leaders who visited the family at their Karen home in Nairobi to offer comfort and support. President William Ruto also joined other lawmakers in condoling with the family during the difficult period.
Nayianoi Ntutu Ngeno remains a central figure in the life and legacy of the late Johanna Ngeno — a young widow navigating life with her two daughters while carrying forward the memory of a leader whose political journey was cut short.
