Form Two Student Collapses and Dies in Kisii School

Police in Kisii County have launched investigations after a Form Two student suddenly collapsed and died at school.
The tragic incident happened at Riokindo Boys High School on March 28. According to school officials, students had just returned to their dormitories from the school field when the 15-year-old boy collapsed.
Teachers and fellow students rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he was sadly pronounced dead on arrival.
The cause of his sudden death is still unknown. His body has been taken to the mortuary as police wait for a postmortem examination to determine what happened.
Authorities confirmed that the student’s parents have already been informed.
Mystery as Missing Woman Found Dead in Nandi
In a separate incident, detectives in Nandi County are investigating the murder of a 62-year-old woman whose body was found inside her house.
The woman had been missing since March 27 before her body was discovered two days later in Chepsonoi village.
Police said her body was found in a room used as a store within her home. She had been living in the house with her son.
Investigators noted that the body had injuries on the neck and private parts, raising suspicion of foul play.
The room where the body was found had been locked from the outside. Police have since moved the body to the mortuary as investigations continue.
Murang’a Woman Dies After Electric Shock in Bathroom
In Murang’a County, a 71-year-old woman lost her life after being electrocuted while bathing.
The woman, identified as Leah Ndirangu, was taking a shower at her home in Kirwara when she screamed for help.
Family members rushed to the scene and found her lying unconscious in the bathroom. She was taken to Kirwara Level 4 Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Police investigations revealed that the electric shower she was using was faulty.
Authorities have raised concerns over the increasing number of such incidents, blaming poor wiring and unqualified electricians. Kenyans are being urged to always hire certified professionals for electrical installations.
Man Found Dead by Roadside in Trans Nzoia
Meanwhile, police in Trans Nzoia County are probing another suspected murder after the body of a man was found dumped by the roadside.
The incident occurred in Nalonodo village, Kapkoi area, where the body of 29-year-old Emanuel Shikuku was discovered.
Police said the deceased had a fresh stab wound on the chest, suggesting he may have been attacked.
The motive of the killing is still unknown, and no arrests have been made so far. Investigations are ongoing.
