A 50-year-old man from Uganda has reportedly died after collapsing during an intimate encounter in a bush in Luuka District.
According to police reports, the incident happened on Monday night at around 9 pm in Bukooma Sub-County. The man was identified as Simon Kalamu, a resident of Namulanda B Village.
Police spokesperson for Busoga North, SP Samson Lubega, confirmed the incident and said investigations are ongoing to establish the exact cause of death.
Reports indicate that Kalamu had gone to a nearby bush with a 40-year-old woman from the same area. The two were reportedly spending private time together when the man suddenly collapsed.
According to police, the woman raised an alarm after noticing that Kalamu had become unresponsive. Residents rushed to the scene before informing local leaders and police officers.
“The man reportedly collapsed during the encounter,” Lubega said.
The body was later moved to a mortuary for postmortem examination as detectives continue with investigations.
Some residents claimed the deceased was known in the area for having multiple relationships outside marriage. Others alleged he frequently consumed energy drinks and herbal substances, although police have not confirmed whether this contributed to his death.
Medical experts say sudden deaths during intimate activities can sometimes be linked to underlying health problems such as heart disease, high blood pressure, or stroke, especially during physical exertion.
Police have urged members of the public to go for regular medical check-ups and seek professional medical advice concerning their health.
