Police in Nairobi have started investigations following the death of a young Somali woman whose body was discovered inside an Airbnb apartment in Kilimani under unclear circumstances.

According to reports shared online, the woman identified as Ramla was found dead in the apartment, raising questions about what may have happened before her death.

Preliminary information indicates that detectives found some items near the body including a blue pill, codeine and a vape, which are now part of the ongoing investigation as authorities try to establish the cause of death.

Her body was later taken to City Mortuary as police continue to gather more details that could help explain the incident.

Authorities are also working to identify and reach her family, as her photos continue to circulate widely on social media.

It is believed that the deceased came from the Eastleigh area in Nairobi, although officials have not yet confirmed further personal details.
