ODPP Opens Job Vacancies Across Multiple Departments – Apply Now

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has opened applications for multiple job vacancies across legal, administrative, finance, ICT, research, supply chain, and communication roles.

Established under Article 157 of the Constitution of Kenya and operationalized through the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Act No. 2 of 2013, the ODPP plays a central role in Kenya’s criminal justice system, ensuring prosecutions are conducted fairly, efficiently, and in line with the Constitution and rule of law.

According to Section 13(2) of the ODPP Act, the Office has the authority to appoint and supervise staff to support its mandate. The current recruitment drive is part of efforts to strengthen institutional capacity and improve service delivery across the prosecution service.

The vacancies provide opportunities for professionals in legal practice, finance, ICT, research, communications, supply chain management, and administration to contribute to the justice system in Kenya.

Available Positions:

Clerical Officer – Handles administrative and records management functions, including filing, document tracking, and supporting office operations.

Office Assistant III – Supports daily office activities, document movement, logistics, and general administrative tasks.

Accountant – Manages financial records, assists in reporting, budget monitoring, and ensures compliance with public sector financial regulations.

ICT Officer – Maintains ICT infrastructure, provides technical support, ensures system security, and supports digital solutions.

Prosecution Counsel – Represents the state in criminal cases, reviews investigation files, advises investigative agencies, and prepares legal documentation.

Supply Chain Management Officer – Supports procurement planning, inventory management, supplier evaluation, and asset tracking.

Research Officer – Conducts legal and policy research, prepares analytical reports, and supports evidence-based decision-making.

Audit Officer – Supports internal audits, monitors compliance, identifies operational risks, and helps strengthen accountability.

Public Affairs and Corporate Communication Officer – Manages media relations, prepares press releases, oversees institutional communications, and enhances public engagement.
