Total Amount of Money Majembe Will Get After Knocking Out Mbavu Destroyer

Portifas Odipo, popularly known as Majembe Chimba Chimba, defeated Mbavu Destroyer in the highly talked-about Vurugu fight held on Saturday evening.

The match, which took place on April 4 at the Kasarani Indoor Arena, attracted a large crowd and huge attention online, especially after the two fighters had been exchanging words on TikTok.

How Majembe Won the Fight

Majembe ended the fight in the fourth round after delivering a strong punch that left Mbavu Destroyer unable to continue.

The punch caused some debate among fans, with many questioning whether it was legal. Some people felt it landed too low, while others believed it was a fair strike.

Despite the controversy, Mbavu Destroyer was quickly attended to by medical personnel inside the ring but could not continue with the fight.

The match officials later confirmed the result after checking the judges’ scorecards. All three judges gave Majembe a clear lead, and he was declared the winner by technical knockout (TKO).

How Much Money Majembe Will Earn

After the win, Majembe is expected to receive a huge reward from different sponsors and supporters.

First, William Ruto had promised to give each boxer KSh 1 million, regardless of the outcome. This means Majembe will automatically receive KSh 1 million.

In addition, betting company Odi Bets promised to reward the winner with a brand new Toyota Noah.

Majembe will also receive a Taro GP1 worth about KSh 400,000, along with a one-year gym membership.

Another Kenyan woman had pledged KSh 1.2 million to the winner. If she honours her promise, Majembe’s total cash earnings will rise to about KSh 2.2 million.
