Safaricom Announces New Jobs for Kenyans, Here’s How to Apply

The leading telecommunications company has invited interested candidates to apply for positions in different departments .

According to Safaricom, the company is looking for talented individuals from different backgrounds as part of its commitment to diversity and equal employment opportunities.

The company also said it supports equal gender representation across all levels of employment.

A statement from Safaricom explained that interested applicants should first create or update their profiles on the company’s recruitment portal before applying for the available positions.

Applicants are also required to attach their updated CVs with academic and professional certificates.

Safaricom said:

“If you believe you meet the required qualifications and experience, create or update your candidate profile on the recruitment portal and click the apply button. Do not forget to attach your resume.”

Career expert Simon Ingari has advised job seekers to make their applications strong by clearly showing their achievements and work results.

He encouraged applicants to use numbers and real examples when describing their previous work experience.

For example, instead of simply saying they improved performance, candidates should state something like “increased sales by 20%” to show measurable impact.

He also advised job seekers to submit applications early because many companies review applications as they come in.

1. Governance and Cost Management Officer – Network Operations

The person selected for this role will help in vendor management, tracking site costs, and supporting procurement activities.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related course
1 to 3 years of experience in cost tracking, procurement, or financial operations
Good attention to detail
Basic knowledge of finance and cost analysis
Strong Excel and data reporting skills
Good coordination and follow-up skills

2. Total Rewards Lead

This role focuses on salary management, employee benefits, and compensation planning for Safaricom and its related businesses.

Requirements:

University degree in Business Administration
4 to 5 years of experience in compensation and benefits or related field
Human resource experience will be an added advantage

3. Product Manager – IoT Solutions

The successful candidate will oversee Internet of Things (IoT) services, including connectivity, device management, smart industry solutions, utilities, and asset tracking.
