PSC Announces 1,000 Internships for Degree and Diploma Holders

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced 1,000 internship opportunities under the Digital Literacy Programme (DLP) Cohort Five at the Ministry of Education.
The opportunities are available to qualified degree and diploma holders in information and communication technology (ICT) and related fields. Successful applicants will be attached to schools at the sub-county level, where they will support digital learning and gain practical work experience.
Who can apply for the PSC internships?
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Education with an ICT specialisation, a bachelor’s degree in ICT, or a diploma in ICT or ICT integration in education.
- Have graduated from a recognised institution in 2022 or later.
- Know about networking and infrastructure, application development, information security, or project management.
- Be able to integrate ICT tools into teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Be willing to work full-time at any sub-county education office.
- Not have previously benefited from a similar government internship programme.
What will the interns do?
The selected interns will support the implementation of the Digital Learning Programme in schools.
Their duties will include:
- Training primary school teachers on how to use digital literacy devices.
- Supporting virtual learning and other digital education platforms.
- Helping schools integrate ICT into teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Providing first-line maintenance and technical support for ICT services.
- Promoting the safe and ethical use of technology among learners.
- Supporting the development of relevant school policies and procedures.
PSC said the interns will play an important role in supporting virtual learning and other digital platforms.
Internship duration and stipend
The internship will run for 12 months and will not be renewed. Successful interns will receive a stipend at a rate determined by the government.
Those who complete the programme successfully will receive a certificate from the State Department for Basic Education.
