The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced 851 government job vacancies in different ministries, state departments and public universities.
The vacancies were advertised on September 22, 2026, with qualified Kenyans invited to apply through the official PSC recruitment portal. The deadline for the latest batch of positions is October 13, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
The jobs cover different levels, from entry-level positions to senior government posts.

Among the advertised positions are Secretary, Director, Deputy Director and Assistant Director posts. For example, the PSC portal lists two Secretary, Cabinet Affairs/Special Programmes positions, three Director positions, four Deputy Director positions and four Assistant Director positions under Cabinet Affairs.
The State Department for Social Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs also has a large number of vacancies for Assistant Directors in Social Development.

Applications are submitted online through the Public Service Commission recruitment portal.
Applicants need to create an account using details such as their ID or passport number, surname, email address and password.
After creating an account, applicants should verify their email and complete their profiles. The profile includes personal information, academic and professional qualifications, work experience, professional memberships and referees.
Applicants can then select the job they qualify for, read the requirements carefully and submit their application online.
The PSC has set October 13, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. EAT as the closing deadline for the September 22 advertisements.
PSC Warns Applicants About Fraud
Job seekers should be careful about people asking for money in exchange for government jobs.
The PSC does not charge applicants to apply for jobs, attend interviews, get shortlisted or receive appointments.
Applicants should therefore use the official PSC recruitment platform and avoid giving money to individuals claiming they can help them secure a government job.
