A Luhya pastor has sparked reactions after angrily lecturing his church members for giving a total offering of only KSh 300.
The pastor questioned the congregants, saying the amount was too little and accusing them of treating church giving like a joke.
“Hii ni mcheso, hii sio huduma… ama mnafikiria mimi ninakula sadaka? Sikuli. Lakini kanisa ndio inatolewa sadaka,” the pastor said angrily.
He went on to tell the congregants that even if they were planning to send him back to his rural home, that would not happen because he had already left the village and was planning to buy land in Kitengela or Kangemi.
“Sio eti naongea juu nataka kuweka hizi kwa mfuko. Hata siwezi weka pesa kama hizi kwa mfuko yangu. Hii ni uganga ya umaskini hii. Kama mnapanga kunirudisha nyumbani, haitafanyika. Ushagoo nilitoka huko. Mimi napanga kununua land in Kitengela ama Kangemi,” he said.
