Joho, Sudi and Ichung’wah Donate Millions to Churches in Kilifi and Kitui

Government officials from the Kenya Kwanza administration on Sunday donated millions of shillings to Catholic churches in Kitui and Kilifi counties to support church development projects.
Among the leaders who attended the church events were Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs Cabinet Secretary Hassan Joho, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah, and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi.
Ichung’wah and Sudi attended a fundraising event at St Martin’s Kwa Mutonga Parish in Kitui West on Sunday, May 17, where money was raised for the construction of a priest’s house.
While addressing the congregation, Ichung’wah urged Kenyans to avoid tribal politics and instead focus on unity and development.
He said leaders should work together to support development projects and strengthen churches across the country.
During the fundraiser, Ichung’wah donated KSh 1.5 million towards the church project.
Sudi also contributed KSh 500,000 for church development and another KSh 500,000 to help the church choir and young dancers buy uniforms.
The Kapseret MP praised the church leadership and encouraged Christians to continue supporting community projects.
Mining Principal Secretary Philip Hinga also donated KSh 1 million towards the same initiative.
According to Sudi, leaders and well-wishers contributed a total of KSh 18 million during the fundraiser.
In Kilifi County, CS Hassan Joho donated KSh 1 million to St Martin Bandarasalama Catholic Church in Chonyi Sub-County.
Joho joined Christians during special prayers for peace, unity and prosperity in the country.
The CS said leaders and citizens must work together to build a united and successful Kenya.
He also thanked church members for their continued prayers and support for national development programmes.
