Facebook Unveils New Program Paying TikTokers and YouTubers Up to KSh 386,000 Monthly

Meta Platforms has introduced a new program aimed at attracting content creators from platforms like TikTok and YouTube to Facebook.

The program, known as Creator Fast Track, is designed to give popular creators a reason to shift their focus to Facebook. It offers monthly payments and better visibility, helping creators grow their audience on the platform.

Under this program, creators with at least 100,000 followers on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube can earn $1,000 (about KSh 130,000) per month. Those with more than one million followers can earn up to $3,000 (about KSh 386,000) monthly.

This move is part of Meta’s bigger plan to bring more creators to Facebook. In 2025, the company revealed it paid nearly $3 billion (around KSh 388 billion) to creators. This marked a 35% increase compared to the previous year. A large share of this money—about 60%—went to Reels content, while the rest supported other types of posts.

Even though Facebook has over 3 billion users worldwide, it has faced challenges attracting creators, many of whom prefer TikTok and YouTube. With this new initiative, Meta hopes to change that by encouraging creators to post more original content, especially short videos.

To qualify for the program, creators must:

  • Post at least 15 Reels within 30 days

  • Upload content on at least 10 different days

  • Share original content, including AI-generated work (but it doesn’t have to be exclusive to Facebook)

Currently, the program is open to creators aged 18 and above living in the United States and Canada. Applicants must also have a Facebook page that is at least 30 days old. Meta is expected to expand the program to more countries in the future.
