IEBC Hiring Presiding Officers, Voter Educators and Clerks, Paying Up to KSh 2,000 Daily

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced temporary job opportunities ahead of the upcoming Migwani Ward by-election.
The positions are available to people who want to support various activities during the election, including voter education, training of election officials, polling and vote counting.
The application deadline is October 6, 2026.
IEBC Jobs Available
The five temporary positions and their daily allowances are:
1. Polling/Queuing/Counting Clerk – KSh 1,000 per day
The clerks will assist with activities at polling stations, including managing voter queues, guiding voters and supporting polling and counting activities.
They will work under the direction of the Presiding Officer and Deputy Presiding Officer.
2. Voter Educator – KSh 1,500 per day
Voter Educators will help residents understand the voting process and provide information on electoral procedures.
Applicants for this position should be residents of Migwani Ward and should be able to communicate clearly with members of the public.
3. Support Electoral Trainer – KSh 2,000 per day
Support Electoral Trainers will assist IEBC in training election officials ahead of the by-election.
They will support training sessions for Presiding Officers, Deputy Presiding Officers and other personnel involved in the election.
4. Deputy Presiding Officer – KSh 1,800 per day
The Deputy Presiding Officer will assist the Presiding Officer in managing activities at the polling station.
The duties include supporting polling personnel, helping to coordinate polling activities and ensuring that election procedures are followed.
5. Presiding Officer – KSh 2,000 per day
The Presiding Officer will oversee election activities at an assigned polling station.
The officer will supervise election officials, coordinate voting activities and oversee the counting process in line with IEBC procedures.
