IPOA Announces 32 Job Vacancies for Drivers and Other Positions in Kenya 2026

The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) has announced 32 new job vacancies for qualified Kenyans looking for employment opportunities.

The vacancies were published in the latest MyGov advertisement on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, giving job seekers a chance to apply for several professional and support staff positions.

According to IPOA, all interested candidates must submit their applications online through the official IPOA careers portal.

The authority clearly stated that no physical applications will be accepted, and applicants should avoid sending hard copy documents to their offices.

The deadline for submitting applications is Monday, May 18, 2026.

Positions Advertised by IPOA

Some of the positions advertised include:

  • Senior Accountant – 1 post
  • Call Centre Officer – 3 posts
  • Complaints Management Officer II – 3 posts
  • Inspections Officer II – 1 post
  • Monitoring Officer II – 2 posts
  • Investigations Officer II – 9 posts
  • Legal Officer II – 1 post
  • Research Officer II – 1 post
  • Clerical Officer II – 1 post
  • Driver II – 4 posts
  • Office Assistant II – 3 posts

These positions target both graduates and experienced professionals in different fields.

IPOA said only candidates who meet the required qualifications should apply through the online portal.

Important Requirements for Applicants

IPOA has reminded all applicants that successful candidates must meet the requirements under Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

Those selected will be required to provide clearance certificates from:

  • HELB
  • EACC
  • CRB
  • KRA
  • DCI

The authority also noted that all academic and professional documents will be verified before employment.

Background checks will also be carried out before successful candidates are officially hired.

Warning to Job Seekers

IPOA warned job seekers against canvassing or trying to influence the recruitment process.

The authority said any applicant found canvassing will be automatically disqualified.

It also clarified that it does not charge any fee at any stage of recruitment and does not use external recruitment agencies.

Job seekers were advised to be honest while applying and avoid giving false information about their qualifications or work experience.

Experts have also encouraged applicants to prepare well in case they are called for interviews.
