KMTC Announces Lecturer Jobs Across Kenya: Qualifications and How to Apply

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has announced 76 lecturer vacancies in different campuses across the country, giving qualified health professionals an opportunity to secure permanent and pensionable jobs.

According to the notice, the positions are spread across several medical disciplines. Nursing has the highest number of vacancies with 30 positions available. Community Health follows with 10 slots, while Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine has eight vacancies.

KMTC is also looking to recruit eight lecturers in Mortuary Science. Other available positions include Emergency Medical Technology, Health Insurance, Medical Engineering, and Orthopaedic Technology, each with five vacancies.

All successful candidates will be employed under Job Grade KMTC 8 and will enjoy government employment benefits, including pension benefits after retirement.

Qualifications Required

Applicants must have a relevant bachelor’s degree in their area of specialization or a KMTC Higher Diploma in the relevant field. In addition, candidates should have at least six years of professional experience.

KMTC has stated that applicants must be registered with the relevant professional body where applicable. Basic computer skills are also required for all positions.

The institution has warned candidates against canvassing, noting that any attempt to influence the recruitment process will lead to automatic disqualification.

How to Apply

Interested candidates are required to submit their applications through the KMTC online recruitment portal. The college has clarified that hard-copy applications will not be accepted.

Applicants should ensure that all information provided is accurate, as incorrect details may lead to disqualification during the recruitment process.

Candidates shortlisted for interviews will be required to present original documents, including their national identity card, academic certificates, professional certificates, and academic transcripts.

Successful applicants will also be expected to provide clearance certificates from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), and a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

The application deadline is June 30. KMTC has encouraged qualified youth, women, persons living with disabilities, and members of minority communities to apply as part of its commitment to equal employment opportunities.
