The National Youth Service (NYS) has announced a new wave of employment opportunities for its graduates and alumni, offering positions overseas in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). These roles are designed for qualified technical professionals, with competitive salaries reaching up to Ksh112,000 per month.

NYS Commandant General James Tembur has encouraged eligible applicants to seize this chance to gain international work experience and advance their careers.

Who Can Apply?

Both male and female candidates with a minimum of four years of practical technical or supervisory experience are eligible. The NYS notice, published on January 9, 2026, stated that applications must be submitted by January 12, 2026.

“NYS-trained professionals now have the opportunity to take their expertise to the global stage. These UAE positions offer structured career growth and attractive remuneration,” the announcement read.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Diploma, Trade Certificate, or relevant technical qualification

  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience

  • Strong understanding of technical equipment and facilities management

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

  • Prior Middle East experience is an advantage

  • Medically fit with good conduct

  • Valid passport and police clearance (assistance available through NYS)

  • Age between 22 and 45 years
