PSC Announces 834 Job Vacancies Including Entry-Level Positions; Apply Before January 9, 2026

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced 834 job vacancies across different government ministries, state departments, and agencies in a major recruitment exercise.

In a notice released on December 16, 2025, the Commission invited qualified Kenyans to apply for the available positions, which include entry-level jobs, promotions, and senior management roles.

Jobs Available Across Many Government Sectors

According to PSC, the vacancies are spread across key sectors such as public administration, foreign service, human resource management, education, climate change, trade, land and physical planning, children services, and regional development.

Many of the advertised positions are meant for officers already working in the public service who are seeking career progression, especially those in CSG 4 to CSG 7 job groups.

Senior roles advertised include Secretary, Director, Deputy Director, and Assistant Director in several ministries and state departments.

Ministries and Departments With Vacancies

Some of the government offices with advertised positions include:

  • Executive Office of the President

  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs

  • Ministry of Economic Planning

  • Ministry of Public Service and Human Capital Development

  • Ministry of Youth Affairs and Creative Economy

  • Ministry of Environment and Climate Change

  • Ministry of Trade

  • Ministry of Roads

  • Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning

  • Ministry of ASALs and Regional Development

The Foreign Service department has a significant number of vacancies, especially for Directors and Assistant Directors.

There are also many openings in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Information Systems, and other administrative roles.

Other senior positions include Director of Meteorological Services, Director of Domestic Trade, Director of Physical Planning, and several Deputy Director roles in Climate Change, Social Development, Children Services, and Regional Development.

PSC has also advertised one vacancy for Chairperson of the Kenya Trade Remedies Agency (KETRA) under the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry.

Entry-Level Jobs for Graduates

Graduates and job seekers looking to join the public service have not been left out. PSC has opened hundreds of entry-level positions, mostly under PSC job groups 9 to 12.

Some of the entry-level jobs include:

  • Administration Officer II

  • Human Resource Officer II

  • Accountant II

  • Internal Auditor II

  • ICT Officer II

  • Records Management Officer II

  • Supply Chain Management Officer II

  • Compliance Audit Officer II

  • Ethics and Values Officer II

  • Research Officer II

  • Policy Analyst II

  • Public Communication Assistant

The notice also includes vacancies in departments dealing with Devolution, Lands, Public Service, and Human Capital Development.

The largest number of jobs are for support staff, with 300 Clerical Officer II positions and 150 Office Assistant III positions advertised.

Applicants are advised to carefully read the job requirements, academic qualifications, and experience needed before submitting their applications.

Important Notice to Applicants

PSC has reminded Kenyans that the recruitment process will be based on merit, fairness, inclusivity, and regional balance, as required by the Constitution.

All applicants must also meet the standards set under Chapter Six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity.

The Commission has further warned the public against fraudsters, stressing that PSC does not charge any fees for job applications, shortlisting, interviews, or appointments. Kenyans have been urged to report anyone asking for bribes while claiming to represent PSC.
