US Embassy Nairobi Announces New High Paying Jobs for Kenyans

The United States Embassy in Nairobi has announced several new job opportunities for qualified Kenyans looking to work at the American mission.
According to the latest notice released by the U.S. Department of State, the available positions are in administration, protocol, political affairs, and supply management. Some of the jobs come with annual salaries worth millions of shillings.
One of the advertised positions is that of Supply Supervisor under the General Services Office. The job offers an annual salary of about KSh1.94 million.
However, the embassy said the position is only open to internal applicants. Interested candidates are required to submit their applications before May 21, 2026.
A Supply Supervisor is responsible for managing supplies within the office. The work includes ordering items, keeping stock records, controlling inventory and distributing supplies in the warehouse system.
The embassy has also announced a vacancy for the position of Protocol Assistant in the Executive Office in Nairobi.
The role is open to all qualified applicants. Successful candidates will earn between Ksh2.68 million and Ksh4.56 million per year depending on qualifications and work experience.
A Protocol Assistant helps in handling official procedures and diplomatic etiquette. The officer also advises on matters such as official events, order of precedence and gift procedures.
Applications for the Protocol Assistant position will close on May 22, 2026.
Another position announced is the Senior Political Specialist in the Political Office.
The role is among the highest-paying jobs in the latest recruitment notice, with a yearly salary of about Ksh5.67 million.
According to the vacancy notice, the position is open to all interested applicants.
The successful candidate will help analyse political developments, prepare reports, support diplomatic engagements and advise senior officials on policy matters. The officer will also monitor security trends and supervise junior staff at the embassy.
Applications for the Senior Political Specialist position will close on May 22, 2026.
