Pastor Pius Muiru Prays for Miracle to Save Sh960M Property from Auction

Televangelist Pastor Pius Muiru is facing a tough financial battle as he tries to stop the auction of his properties worth about KSh 960 million.

On April 13, 2026, the High Court gave him temporary relief by stopping Equity Bank from selling the properties. The court will hear the full case on July 8, 2026.

How the Dispute Started

The issue began with a loan Pastor Muiru took from Equity Bank in 2010. The loan amount was KSh 216 million.

However, there is now a disagreement over how much money is still owed. Pastor Muiru says he only owes KSh 27 million. On the other hand, the bank claims the amount is much higher due to unpaid installments between 2011 and 2016, which led to added interest and penalties.

Properties at Risk

The properties facing auction include land and rental houses located in Nairobi and Kiambu counties. These investments are said to be worth hundreds of millions of shillings.

Impact of COVID-19

Pastor Muiru explained that his financial problems started during the COVID-19 pandemic. He said his church, Maximum Miracle Centre, has not been performing well since 2020, making it hard to repay the loan.

Legal Battle and Prayer for Help

Pastor Muiru and his wife, Lucy, have taken the matter to court. They accuse the bank of acting unfairly and want the court to protect their properties.

At the same time, the pastor has turned to prayer, asking for a miracle to help him overcome the situation.

What Happens Next

For now, the auction has been stopped. The court will later decide the exact amount owed and whether the bank has the legal right to sell the properties.
