Hundreds of Jobs Open as Chinese Firm Begins Mau Summit–Rironi Road Recruitment

A Chinese construction company has announced many job opportunities for Kenyans under the upcoming Rironi–Gilgil and Rironi–Maai Mahiu–Naivasha road project, which is part of the larger Mau Summit highway expansion.
The company, China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), says it is looking to hire hundreds of workers across different categories, including construction workers, drivers, machine operators, and technical staff.
According to the recruitment notice, the project will need both skilled and semi-skilled workers. This means even people with basic construction experience have a chance to apply.
Available Job Categories
CRBC is recruiting general construction workers such as masons, steel fixers, carpenters, welders, concrete workers, formwork experts, and site supervisors. These roles will mainly support road construction activities on the ground.
There are also many openings for drivers and machine operators. These include truck drivers, crane operators, excavator operators, bulldozer operators, roller operators, grader operators, water bowser drivers, and oil tanker drivers.
In addition, the company is hiring technical and support staff. These include civil engineers, surveyors, mechanics, electricians, health and safety officers, plant operators, and security personnel.
Requirements for Applicants
To qualify, applicants must be Kenyan citizens living in Kenya and must have valid national identification documents.
CRBC also says applicants should have relevant skills and experience for the job they are applying for. Where necessary, candidates must also have valid driving licences or professional certificates.
The company has encouraged people living along the project areas, including Rironi, Limuru, Maai Mahiu, Naivasha, and Gilgil, to apply since they may have a better chance of selection.
