President William Ruto on Sunday addressed worshippers at a church service in Rotian area of Narok County, where he mixed a message of faith with sharp political remarks.

While speaking to the congregation, the president took aim at opposition leaders, with his comments clearly directed at Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Ruto warned Kenyans against leaders who focus on noise and drama instead of real work.

He described a style of politics where an individual causes confusion, excites crowds, and receives praise from supporters but delivers nothing meaningful to the people.

According to the president, such behavior may attract attention but does not improve lives or develop the country.

He stressed that leadership should be judged by performance and results.

Ruto urged voters to carefully examine what leaders have achieved rather than how they present themselves during campaigns.

He noted that public office demands responsibility, discipline, and the ability to solve problems affecting ordinary citizens.

In a pointed remark that drew reactions from the crowd, the president dismissed the idea that personal appearance qualifies someone for leadership.

He said good looks, a polished image, or physical features are not indicators of capacity or vision.

The statement was widely seen as a dig at Kalonzo Musyoka, who is often described as well groomed and soft spoken.

Ruto used the moment to reinforce his long standing message on merit based leadership.

He told the congregation that Kenyans deserve leaders who can show real progress through development projects, service delivery, and economic growth.

He encouraged citizens to reject empty talk and focus on leaders with a clear record of action.
