KUCCPS Medical Courses and KMTC Campuses Available for Grade C & D Students in 2026

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has released a list of 36 medical and health-related courses available at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for students who scored Grade C or D in the 2025 KCSE exams.
The announcement came shortly after KUCCPS opened its application portal, giving Form Four leavers an opportunity to apply for certificate and diploma programmes in the medical field.
Certificate Medical Courses Available
KUCCPS confirmed that several certificate-level programmes are open to students who meet the minimum KCSE requirements. These courses include:

Health Records and Information Technology

Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nursing

Medical Emergency Technician

Medical Engineering

Nutrition and Dietetics

Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine

These certificate programmes offer basic medical training and can also serve as a foundation for further studies.

The placement service also listed multiple diploma programmes available under the current application cycle. They include:

Minimum KCSE Entry Requirements
KUCCPS stated that entry requirements vary depending on the course. Some programmes require a mean grade of C (plain), while others accept applicants with D+ or D (plain) based on specific subject combinations.
However, all courses except Mortuary Science require candidates to have at least a C– (minus) in English or Kiswahili and Mathematics.

Application Process and Deadline
KUCCPS advised all interested applicants to submit their applications online through the KUCCPS student portal at students.kuccps.ac.ke.
Applicants have 14 days to apply, with the application window expected to close on January 27, 2026.
