On Thursday, a top politician accused former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, claiming that he is planning to hand over the Central community to another politician ahead of the 2027 elections.
The politician said that such a move is not only unacceptable but also a betrayal of the people of the region who have worked hard for development and unity.
He warned that any attempt to trade the political support of the Central community for personal gain will be strongly resisted by the residents.
In a statement, the politician revealed that such plans will never happen and will not be allowed by the Central people.
“We will not allow anyone to sell our people to the highest bidder. The Central community is not property to be handed over for political deals.

Every person here matters, and we will make sure that no one can come and decide our future for us. We know what we want, and we will fight to protect it,” he said.
He added that the people of the region are aware of political strategies and will reject anyone who tries to manipulate them for personal benefit.
MP Wainaina also accused Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka of preaching politics that brings no real benefit to the people of Kenya.
“Kalonzo talks about politics that sounds good on paper but does nothing for ordinary Kenyans. People are tired of empty promises, and they know the difference between someone who truly works for the people and someone who only speaks to gain votes.
Both he and Gachagua should know that Kenyans are watching, and when it comes to the time to vote, no amount of schemes or plans will work,” he added.
He also stated that he will ensure the Central community remains loyal to President William Ruto and votes for him in the 2027 elections.
“This is my responsibility, given to me by the president, and I will carry it out fully. We will not be distracted or fooled by anyone trying to change the will of the people.
Central will stand with Ruto because he has shown that he cares about our development and future. We will protect our people, our voice, and our vote, and we will make sure that no one can auction us off for political gain,” he said.
