Rigathi Gachagua Claims He Receives Intelligence Briefings Before President William Ruto

DCP Party leader Rigathi Gachagua has claimed that he receives intelligence reports long before President William Ruto is officially briefed.

Speaking during a public event, Gachagua alleged that he has friends working in the Presidential Escort Unit, the President’s Delivery Unit, State House and the National Intelligence Service (NIS), who keep him informed about important developments.

According to Gachagua, the information reaches him by 6:00 p.m. on the previous day, while President William Ruto is allegedly briefed at 3:30 a.m. the following morning.

“Officers in the Presidential Escort Unit, Ruto’s Delivery Unit, State House staff, and the NIS are my friends. I receive the same intelligence briefings as William Ruto—only I get them much earlier. For the record, Ruto is usually briefed at 3:30 a.m., but I already have the information by 6:00 p.m. the previous day,” Gachagua claimed.

The former Deputy President did not provide evidence to support the claims, and neither the State House nor the National Intelligence Service had responded to his remarks at the time of publication.

The statement has sparked discussion online, with many Kenyans sharing different opinions about the claims on social media.
